My MOTM, he kept us in the game. Senior players? It would be polite to say they weren’t match-ready. But if they weren’t, why were they picked? The youngsters? They played as well as could be hoped. But what a contrast to their performance against Everton. The play, the flow, just wasn’t there. I was surprised we ended up with a draw, we could quite easily have been knocked out.
The replay? It would seem Jurgen and the main team ain’t gonna be there. Neil Cricksley is taking that game apparently. But the two centre backs need to be replaced.
Origi? I keep on digging the guy, but today he was peripheral to the game, save for a sole crack on goal. He just does not get stuck in.
Full marks to Shrewsbury, they gave as game, and if I’m honest, they could or should have won.
