Bielsa Press Conference: Pre-Millwall

[No more signings, White replaces KP]

Good afternoon

And welcome to today's pre-match press conference. Marcelo Bielsa will be sitting down with the media at 12:30pm.

We'll have all the latest right here...

What are we expecting from Bielsa?

With Friday's transfer deadline looming Bielsa will give an update on their search for a new striker - with RB Leipzig forward Jean-Kevin Augustin reportedly keen on a move.

The Whites boss will also let us know how his squad is shaping up in terms of injuries and give his thoughts on Millwall and a vital run of games coming up.

Who will replace Kalvin?

Ben White will substitute him.

Any other injury updates?

No. Only White will replace Phillips.

Why did you want Augustin?

He's a player who has a well known background. He has a good trajectory. Even if he is a young player. When he was in the academy he was one of the more well known players in the world.

Thoughts on Poveda?

He's a winger. He can player on both sides. He can cross, dribble, he is a fast player. He's a similar player to Helder Costa.

Millwall?

It's an aggressive team. They know how to play. Each player has a specific role and function. They do this to try to be sure of how they play.

How important has the break been between games?

The development of our team is something we have controlled very well. We've had time to work together. The fact that we have had to adapt White to a different position was something positive for us.

Are you aware of a letter written to Jack Harrison?

No, but he's a player who have improved a lot. He's a player with a high physical performance. He can use both feet. He has good skills to combine passes and he demands the ball. He's a very big colleague of all of us. A player who transmits good energy all of the time, it's a pleasure to work with him.

Does he have a bright future? Can he go to the top?

It's always difficult to know what he is going to do in the future. He is a player who has all the skills and abilities to develop all aspects as a winger.

Bit from Dallas on Poveda:

Dallas on Poveda: "He's fast and direct. He's fitted in really well. It's good because I haven't seen a player take to a group as well as he's taken to us. I'm being serious. He's lively." #lufc

"We did the murderball session last week and I was up against him. I found out how quick he was."

Nothing said about Forshaw? A few rumours online he has an illness rather than an injury. Anyone else heard that? My mate told me that
