I'm extremely pessimistic about the club signing anyone during this window. DET and other football related websites have done to death the players we're linked to in defence and midfield.
With investment supposedly due to be announced in Nov , then Dec then Jan 2020 we can all agree it looks extremely unlikely , especially given the issues with EFL.
Can anyone realistically see players coming in during this window?
Will DCFC sign players before deadline?

Could be a case of moving one more bad egg out the club with TL left from the Drive gate incident.
Our entire scouting / transfer activity this season has been s shower of sh....
I'm actually at a point where I'd like to see MM sell up and pass the responsibility to somebody else. It's been 5 years and I've not seen anything from him to say he's learning how to run this club properly.

I'm with you on this Desi - and have been for some time.
Mel may have cash but I don't think he genuinely understands what is needed to run a football club.
Maybe its because he is a fan so his judgement is clouded or maybe its because he is a proper businessman who cant see that football doesn't run like any other business operation.
Either way, the biggest concern for me is the lack of any moral consistency in the club on and off the pitch.
The Keogh affair is a case in point. Likewise the stadium issue and having the club (and Rooney) sponsored by a gambling company.
He may have been entirely in the right legally in all cases, but I question the morality of both.

Am interesting article for the numerically minded amongst us.
Seems we have been unique in our amortisation of players values - another example of our questionable morals?
That said, we have kept to the same accounting policy since 2015 and the EFL have always been aware of it, so the charges raised against us on this one seem rather harsh!

Desi flagged this one over on the Brief Encounter thread. Spart has sorted all the legal issues although no one has used "amortisation" yet

I see Wolves have signed a young centre half from Rochdale for £1 million. Much cheaper that Bellyache.
What do our scouts do for a living, shirley we don't pay them?
