It`s amusing how Spurs beat

Man City 2-0, and it`s all I have seen or heard so far is that they got lucky, City missed loads of chances, City should have won at a canter. Not one bit of congratulations that Spurs beat City fairly and squarely. Not Spurs fault Aguero could not hit a barn door. Not Spurs fault City were reduced to 10 men. Not Spurs fault Lloris saved a penalty.

Before the game everybody to a man, especially in the media were convinced City were going to win. Then when they didn`t they are not gracious enough to say well done Spurs.

Had this been Liverpool beating City the media would have been all over it, great performance, but Spurs never get any credit for getting these sort of victories. Always it seems they are lucky wins, rather than as I thought thorough deserved.

And for the first time in ages they had the chance to close in on top four, and actually took the chance.

Oh and yesterday was Spurs 24th win over City in the Prem era, only against Everton with 26 wins have Spurs had more success.
Thoughts.

Football is a results game we were playing a good side and won. This is positive for the rest of the season and something to build on. Yes we were fortunate not to go behind but that is how it goes. Plus was a great atmosphere as well.

I heard from the SSN on ref watch that if you would of scored in the two minutes it took to give the pen. Your goal would of been disallowed? What is the f-ing point of continuing to play then? That is a load of bollox. Oh worse than that if City had scored the goal would stand and no peno.

That’s a mockery of the current rules? Who the fk? It would generate riots in the terraces 👍

Isn't it a bit annoying sandy when people try their hardest to dismiss when a team does well...

I am only interested in Spurs, so whether other teams do well or not is something I couldn`t care less about.

Literally, the entire 2 mins of football is void, so why even play on? Ref needs to stop the game, review the incident, then re-start the game via drop-ball.

He only added on four minutes at half time, and Dele was down on the ground for about three minutes, should have been about six or seven minutes extra that half.

I could understand not stopping the game immediately if the VAR is telling the ref to look at it on the monitor. But if VAR is going to give the penalty, then stop the game as soon as that decision is made.

Ultimately though i think it should be the ref. looking at the decision again. He called it no pen, he should be the one to have another look at it, not some other bloke in a studio in a different county. Decisions are subjective, seems no point to have a 2nd subjective consideration of a decision because they could equally agree or disagree with the onfield ref. and it would just be someone elses opinion on the incident. Sterling yellow/red is the perfect example.

Tim Sherwood speaks "Christian Eriksen came into the club, he has now left, for me, he is still their best midfield player they have and they don’t have him anymore because he’s gone to Inter".
No brain surgeon is he...

The ref said he was waiting for the ball to go out to stop play. Well that is just $hite...... If you know there is a review going on do what you do with an head injury and stop play! If Spurs would of scored and gone from 1-0 up to 1-0 down you are enticing a riot and you would need a police escort home!

Refs do not understand our passion for our team! I love Leicester more than I love my Wife...... There is only one Leicester this is the third wife! Lol

Sort it out VAR...... Fast!

Fully agreed. The media are biased as hell, which seems to have crept in more and more over the last few years. Clearly favoring some clubs over others.

I rarely watch live footie with the sound on as, certainly this season, it is more and more noticeable that the commentators have already picked their favorite before a ball is kicked, as illustrated by their constant talk about one of the teams and little on the other throughout the match. Plus do we really have to constantly have an ex player of the favored team as joint commentator ? totally pointless having Keown co commentating an Arsenal game.. Also every time the favored team is on the ball, their tone is markedly more excited than when the other team has possession. Don't believe me, just listen the next time you watch a live game, particularly involving Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester ( this year's chosen darlings ) and even Arsenal.

As for Spurs, they may have been liked a couple of years ago, but certainly not now, as illustrated by the overall coverage and repoting of the Spurs v City game, before, during and post match.

So City had a lot of possession and chances, but no teams beats them without playing well, As Sandy say's, where else did any of us read or listen to any positive commentary regarding Spurs performance ? Check the BBC website. They even have an article entitled "why could City not score against Spurs " I mean, how "entitled" is that.

Together with money, poor referees and VAR, media bias is as responsible for killing our game, and making it less and less watchable or readable.
