Tipping point

The vitriol directed at Bamford on here is out of control and confirms what we all know – social media is primarily adopted for negative purposes. Go to Elland Rd on match day and – tell me if I'm wrong – the vast majority are behind PB. On here, I'd say the reverse is true. I've slammed Bamf on many occasions, including recently, but suddenly the situation's become so bad that I fear for the lad. He looks like he hasn't slept in weeks and if we're looking to get the best out of him, we're going about it the wrong way. We're also sending out negative vibes to the team, to the management, to fellow fans and to the outside world. It seems like we're at a tipping point with how things could go. Leeds supporters are the greatest fans in football, so show the world how great we are by getting behind every single man in the team, And tip things back in our favour.

Wood did very early on. But he absolutely transformed himself into the best striker in the league. He deserved his moment as his form and goals did the talking.

Yes Shaun, Wood did do it early on, but the abuse he got carried on with him even when he improved, he wasn't happy and you could see it!..

Talking with the club over a new contract didn't interest him and his agent let others know!..

There's why Burnley had no problems when they came knocking!..

Oh, and the chance to play in the Premiership!..

When I say it carried on with him I mean it stuck with him!..

Outwood, I have a Facebook side but never go on it!..

I used to say to my wife that Facebook, Twitter and the rest are the most dangerous places on the planet!..

And not properly controlled to stop people getting away with what they do!..

Not my favourite game show if I'm honest

Bamford is well supported on match day. But he is a self-confessed fan of social media and for the other 166 hours of the week, he will find plenty to upset him. He has commented on this a few times. It's easy for us to say 'switch it off' but that is not the way it works and I think it is getting to him.

He’s support at Elland Road because being negative at the ground rarely happens. Fans are top class toward Bamford and always back him.

On forums like this, people express their opinions and reflect. Bamford isn’t good enough, but fans know hammering him at games will make it worse.

Probably hasn’t helped that we’re massively over reliant on him, but that’s a separate issue.

This new lad will be the difference between us going up or not.
