Maddison Staying Pereira Going?

So looks like Maddison will be signing a new long term contract imminently. This has to be good news and signals our intent in holding on to our biggest stars.

It would seem odd to sign a contract and not see it out for at least a season, so does this suggest he will not be going to Utd in the summer after all? Maybe Maguire has warned him to wait until their house is in order again!

What it made me realise though, is the silence around Pereira is deafening, and I think he may well be off in the summer of the likes of Barca or Madrid come caking (he is that good) then who can blame him. Does anyone think his recent drop in form is with one eye on the summer? He looks a yard off it to me both physically and mentally. Something doesn’t quite look right

On the face of it, losing one of our best players (our best IMO - not most important) should be a blow, but Justin is looking more than capable of stepping up. We really have nailed our recruitment strategy in the last 2-3 windows.

What do people think - a good statement of intent pinning Maddison down?

Let’s hope both players come back from the break fresh and put in the performances we know they can deliver. As good as Wolves are, they do play to our strengths a little we need to go there with intent.

I think Justin is ready to step up if Pereira leaves. He looks the real deal to me.

We may have to accept a few up and down performances as he adapts like with Barnes, but based on what else be seen so far I think Justin will be our first choice right back before too long.

A few decent performances and he’s ready to step up? Don’t get me he’s an encouraging young talent but he’s nowhere near as good as Ricardo - we just don’t have the same attacking potency when Justin goes in the side.

He’s one for the future no doubt, but he needs another full season of development for me

I can't see the club wanting to lose any of our key players this summer, especially if we qualify for the Champions League. Having said which, if a really big club come calling - say Barca or Real for example - he'd probably want to take that opportunity.

Well by that logic Vardy, Mahrez and Kante were all Pearson signings. What a genius he was

I agree that Justin looks decent, he's fast and defensively ok so far.
Pereira is next level though - his dribbling ability is unreal at times! That quick change of direction and he's off leaving opposition players in his wake. Defensively sound also - he's my favourite player this year. Not heard any rumours of him leaving though - where has that come from? Other than the fact he is clearly top class...

I’ve heard links to Barca and PSG, and that Pereira is open to the move. The fact that everything around him is so quiet makes me more concerned.

Add to this his drop in form and the conspiracy is complete.

What, you wanted actual facts? Soz!

Everyone’s dropped in form! Maybe PSG are putting in a bid for everyone at Leicester
