Motherwell 0 v 4 Celtic

The quest for 9 in a row continues at a frantic pace.

Another game of two halves for the t@rriers. First half I thought we were very passive, clumsy on the ball and the left side of our team was absolutely hoaching of corned beef.

We did however go in at the break 1 goal to the good. Leigh Griffiths showed great desire to get back in and win the ball, the rest is good link up from Edouard and McGregor, wee break of the ball at the first shot but slotted away from Eddy.

2nd half was a different story, we were dominant from kick off and played with real purpose and tempo. Some of the football was an absolute joy to watch and the 2nd goal didn’t take long to arrive. It’s brilliant from McGregor, another assist although I thought the Motherwell centre half was poor, Griffiths tucks it away nicely.

The 3rd goal is up there for goal of the season, the movement and passing between Ntcham, Christie & Forrest who gets another assist to his name and then what about that for a finish from McGregor 1 goal and 2 assists for him last night and he still didn’t win man of the match.

Unfortunately for McGregor he’s playing behind someone who is of the highest quality. Edouard is without doubt, our best striker since Henrik Larsson, he’s the 2nd best player I’ve seen in my time at Celtic, there’s nothing he can’t do and his free kicks are just unbelievable, to get the ball up and over a wall then back down to chest height from 20 yards is ridiculous.

It wasn’t just his 2 goals last night, his overall game was just top quality. He nutmegged 3 different Motherwell players last night and nearly scored a wonder goal all by himself from half way line.

Gordon Strachan summed it up perfectly last night, he will go to a top team and perform straight away, he’s that good and he still has his best years ahead of him, he’s been a joy to have at Celtic and at £9 million he’s an absolute steal.

Good to increase the GD last night as well, that’s now 12 clear of Rangers, definitely like an extra point at this stage of the season, hopefully we can add to it against Hearts next Wednesday who have conceded 7 goals in 3 games.

Clyde up next on Sunday and guys like Klimala, Soro & Elyounoussi will likely start the game.

tbf to Rangers thats a massive win for them last night

I reckon any dropped points would've all but sealed it for us

Yup...they were under massive pressure going a goal down. Stood up to it well.

First half hour we were the same predictable slow build up play we have seen since coming back from break. After they scored we were defo much sharper and mived the ball far quicker. We should have won far more comfortably imo. But the 3 points were huge, as others say if we hadnt won it would have prob been game over for the league

Its all but sealed for you anyway though. We need to win every game between now and end of the season and realistically that just isn't going to happen.

Celtic won't win every game.

Our form was better before the break and there's is better now. Win our game in hand and it's 4 points, mental to say it's all but sealed.

We've had a balls up, if we can get going again now we will be challenging until the end.

too early for that, but I think a loss last night would have made a massive difference to rangers, psychologically.

we have seen some great football from celtic the last few matches, but our weaknesses are pretty clear as well from them.

address them and maintain our form and i'll poke your maw.

The GD is an extra point providing we can keep scoring freely.

+12 is some swing.

If we win our next 2 league games I'll be very confident. Next Sunday a massive one considering ranges will play an easy home game on the Saturday. Away at Killie is tough for them though considering they NEED to keep winning
