Unbeaten and treble

Could Liverpool do it? Go unbeaten in the league (looks like they’ll go past City’s record 100 points too) and also win FA cup and CL? Had they not got knocked out in league cup I would’ve said domestic treble is definitely a possibility. Defending a European cup is very difficult.

I know Liverpool would love the league above all else, but the form up until now, it’ll be questions of ‘what if’ should they only get the PL. There’s always a ‘what if’ lingering with Invincibles failure to win CL. Opportunities like this rarely come by, no one has ever achieved this feat. Only one club have won treble twice(Barca) and that was done within space of 6 seasons! Every other club that have won treble have never repeated it.

As a side note I don’t think Arsenal will win FA cup or EL, so may as well see something that’s never been done before.

Records would be nice but Ill be one happy bunny once the league is confirmed.

Anything after that is a bonus.

I think Chelsea will beat Liverpool in the FA Cup
Arsenal v Liverpool will be the rare occasion when Arsenal actually play well.
As for the CL.Dont see them retaining it

Arsenal can’t defend, never mind them playing well!

The fans want as many trophies as possible...what Klopp targets is anyone's guess. Up until this point he's clearly put the domestic cups right at the bottom of his to do list. He probably has taking a daily dump way above those 2 things.

Last season when we were trailing City, he always spoke about getting the maximum points we can in the league and if it's enough to finish above City then we finish above City. That same mentality has been kept this season.

The CL will always be a target for any club that partakes in it....and right now every team in Europe wants to beat us. It's going to be difficult but we have yet to lose a two-legged tie in Europe since Klopp came in. The good part though is that a lot of the elit clubs in Europe aren't exactly pulling up trees atm. It's there for the taking.

Personally I want everything. Treble Invincible Centurions.

It's not really accurate to compare them to Arsenal if they "only" manage the league and don't win the CL, considering they won it last season. It's still part of the legacy of this Liverpool team, whereas unfortunately that great Arsenal team don't have that.

As soon as we sew up the PL we could lose every remaining game for all I care. It’s been far too long and has been one hell of a way we’ve gone from making 3 European finals, to winning the CL, super cup, CWC and then destroying the PL.

We’ve nothing to prove

Apart from whether or not you can win the league without 4 of 5 rivals being in complete disarray to help out. No you don't.

I think you could toss a coin on it myself. All depends on what being invincible means to Klopp. I can't see the players or fans as a whole, wanting anything less than PL, CL and invincible. They can play it down as much as they want but any team wanting the ultimate football accolade crown now, in the PL, HAS to be invincible to get it.

Liverpool fans don't want to have to hear "But ya STILL couldn't beat the invincibles. No top team's fans will, from the position they're in. They've got a fight on their hands with Klopp though. The amount of fuss he's made about game count, I just can't see him risking his 1st team, with CL still on the line. For the sake of being invincible. Being so far ahead is the enemy where that's concerned.
