Looking forward now, as I always do

Absolutely no point in looking back unless talking about your history and trophies won.

Prem Games left to play, this is how I could possibly see it going.

Aston Villa (A) W
Chelsea (A) L
Wolves (H) W
Burnley (A) W
Man United (H) D
West Ham (H) W
Sheffield United (A) W
Everton (H) W
Bournemouth (A) W
Arsenal (H) D
Newcastle (A) D
Leicester (H) W
Crystal Palace (A) W

Don`t really see many losses now, just possible Chelsea away out of the 13 games left, have to be looking at 30 points from those games. Jose seems to have got the team now playing like if you cannot win a game, don`t lose it. That would then leave Spurs on 67 points for the season. May be enough for Top Four this season. A draw at Chelsea and a defeat elsewhere may help Spurs even more.

Four points behind Top Four as it stands, so just need to basically pick up a point or so more than say Chelsea every month until the end of the season. Shouldn`t be beyond the realms of possibility, although the cup games may impact a bit, depends how deep Spurs go in both the CL and FA Cup this season. On their current trajectory, reasonable draws in the next round of both competitions, may be pretty deep.

I am liking the fixture list though from now until the season`s finish. Chelsea in a couple of weeks time, will see Spurs having played all three of the four teams home and away, so those fixtures will all be then done and dusted. Just need to concentrate on some very winnable away games, and cement the home form, which is becoming better as the season progresses. Players back from injury will help no end.

Having just checked Chelsea's fixtures again, they're not as tough compared to ours as I first thought, although that was probably before their game with Leicester and Everton look a much better prospect these days.

Theirs are:

Man United (H)
Spurs (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Everton (H)
Villa (A)
Man City (H)
West Ham (A)
Watford (H)
Palace (A)
Sheff United (A)
Norwich (H)
Liverpool (A)
Wolves (H)

I suppose you can say they have to play City and Liverpool again and we don't, but by the time they get to play Liverpool they'll have won the league so who knows how strong their team will be.

Troube is neither Spurs or Chelsea can stop their defense leaking goals, so plenty of surprise results can be expected, specially Chelsea at home is a major issue for them.
7-8 home games there, probably will cost them

That is a decent run in to be fair, but don`t ask me to predict the results because anything could happen going by this season`s previous.

I suspect it will be a roller coaster end to the season with some unexpected wins and some unexpected defeats, but top 4 is there for us if we an somehow put a decent run together.

If we are within 3 points of top four with 6 games to go, I fancy us to nick 4th. Unfortunately I can`t see us going on a run before hand and will be probably well adrift by then, I hope I am wrong.

It puts it into perspective that we have to win 10 out of 13 games just to reach 67 points, which in many years of the PL would not have been enough to finish in the top four.

Chelsea seem to struggle at home and to compund things for them, their front players are finding it to score.

In the last game, two goals from their dirty defender who go them both. That's a massive issue and you could see anxiety on Fat Frank's face when on the last day of transfer window, he realised he wasn't getting a striker.
He has Giroud, but Fat Frank doesn't really trust him

Sandy you love the phrase ‘done and dusted’

As long as we better Chelsea's run of fixtures by 4 points and finished 4th, I'll take anything.

The game at Stamford Bridge in a couple of weeks time is going to be huge. Must not lose game really. Although I think Spurs may well lose there. But a draw would be good.
