Like many I had mixed emotions over last night's game.
Thought we were generally the better team until Casilla made that howler. Surprisingly there were no expletives aimed in his direction, just felt desperately sorry for him and almost resigned myself to another pointless return.
When it's not going well luck tends to be in short supply. He's not doing well and that glaring error was reflective of form and pressure. Can't be easy playing with that charge hanging over his head either.
Time for the management to step up and make some tough decisions. Not as though we haven't chanced our arm with inexperience before.
Unlike in recent games the Mighty Whites fought back admirably and with another keeper error we managed to draw level.
We have to take some heart from that. Over the remainder of that game we generally came out as the better team.
Yes there were some indifferent performances but the team hasn't converted its chances and confidence is low. A draw at Brentford is a bloody good result and we could, on the balance of play, secured all three points.
Could be a turning point.
Will be interesting to see how we shape up in the next match and which personnel are selected. This is where MB earns his stripes.
No point in slating the players. Bielsa chose his squad, chose the size of the squad, employs the tactics and picks the team. If he perseveres with under performing players then isn't that his choice, enforced through lack of alternatives or not?
I'm not happy overall, we've not prepared properly following last season's issues but we are where we are and that is, in my opinion, in a better place than I expected at the beginning of August.
If Fulham and West Brom get results tonight it might even take a bit of pressure off and we can begin again....

Massive test for all concerned of belief reseliance and determination now. Understand and learn from what has happened but look forward and throw everything at turning this round now and finishing strongly. Need every man in that squad to step it up and be remembered as the guys that get us back to the big team. It would be some turnaround but it can be done.

Kiko and no other player goes out to deliberately make errors like that, you can't hurl abuse at a genuine error. He made amends with some calm football out from the back the rest of the game depsite jeers and whistles from the natives. Hope he gets to make up for it in the coming games.

Made amends for it? He made an equally big gaffe misjudging a simple through ball that almost led to another goal.
He was diabolical... but agree he doesn’t deserve abuse from the fans... no player who tries does. Though he gets paid very well to do a job he’s not proving up to so it’s hard to be too sympathetic.
If there’s blame it should be more aimed at the guy who bought him or the guy that picks him.

i agree stevie that the charges are probably weighing on him. when will this be settled?
as far as abusing our own players i just can't understand what the point of it is.
