Media Watch: Coveted French defender on radar?

Friday’s football headlines see Manchester City linked with two players from Red Bull’s football franchise.
There’s been no suggestion as such from Pep Guardiola, but the transfer rumour mill continues to churn out names.

This time, RB Leipzig centre-half, Dayot Upamecano and RB Salzburg’s promising striker, Luka Reischl, are the men in question, though it’s claimed both are being hotly pursued by several top clubs across Europe.

The Mirror: Arsenal handed Dayot Upamecano transfer boost but could face Tottenham competition

David Silva: Why I chose the No. 21 shirt
Writes Gareth Bicknell: “Arsenal transfer target Dayot Upamecano has reportedly handed the Gunners a boost by declaring it is his 'dream' to play in the Premier League.
“But Mikel Arteta's side are likely to face competition from north London rivals Tottenham and Manchester City if they want to sign the RB Leipzig defender.
“Barcelona and Real Madrid are also believed to be interested in the 21-year-old centre-half, who is understood to have a £50million release clause in his current contract."
Daily Mail: Manchester City and Tottenham accelerating interest in Red Bull Salzburg starlet
Writes Sami Mobkel: “From January 1 next year, when clubs come under FIFA regulations, not EU law, they will not be allowed to sign overseas players under 18 years old.
“As a result, clubs are planning to accelerate their interest in a number of the continent’s best young players this summer.
“Red Bull Salzburg wonderkid Luka Reischl is among the players being monitored by a number of top-flight clubs, including Tottenham and Manchester City.
“The 16-year-old forward is regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in Europe and is attracting widespread interest.
“Premier League sides would usually scout a young player for at least a season before deciding whether to pursue their interest, but due to the forthcoming rule change, Spurs and City are among the teams being forced into making a swifter decision on Reischl, who has scored 63 goals in 41 academy appearances in Austria."

From the players
The Pink Un: From North Walsham to Manchester City - Lauren Hemp is flying ahead of facing Ipswich Town in the FA Cup
“I'm gaining confidence by playing regularly and I hope to keep feeding my team-mates for them to score or try to score myself.
“They've told me just to keep doing what I'm doing and to be confident on the ball. One of my attributes is to run at players, beating them and creating chances.
“They're encouraging me to keep working at that and if I make a mistake, to keep going, trying to get the best out of myself.
“We all have to train hard and work our hardest for the fans. I'm hoping to improve each week so I can be playing in Finals at Wembley and lifting cups."
