The English Game

Its not a fan thing, they're passionate but ultimately irrelevant.

Faceless blazers prostituting the game, to media hoors, spivs and pimps.

The ordinary chap that just wants to watch his team, like his father and grandfather before him is being shamed by association.

The tarnishing of one is the tarnishing of all.

It needs to have a long hard look at itself.

Shame on city I agree. Shame on Rangers too, no?

No Euro ban for Rangers.

City are a symptom of a corrupt system.

So, the Scottish system is more corrupt than the English system.

You’re 100% right, Hec. The English game (although it isn’t unique in this respect in Europe) has completely sold its soul.

Thousands of families who had supported clubs for generations priced out as a result of the profiteering of billionaire owners who have no interest in the game, soulless grounds packed with disinterested middle class fans and tourists, games on Fridays and Mondays for television which has more control over the game than the clubs themselves, online gambling advertising everywhere, as many corporate tickets to the FA Cup final as for fans of either team... there are scores of examples.

Sir Alex and Arsene called it 20 years ago. As SAF lamented:

“When you shake hands with the devil you have to pay the price.”

Completely agree with you Hector, and Rosso has put it perfectly.
Add to it the VARS farce, and ,as my old dad would say.....
it's gone to the dogs !
