Phew. But in reality Spurs should have scored an absolute hatful today, and nearly blew the win. The finishing was dreadful for the most part. One on ones, absolutely no composure, other than for the winner. The goalie made some good saves, but all of the shots were straight at him.
We know our defence is a carcrash, so our forwards really should be burying these chances. Jose must have been pulling his hair out at some of the misses. But the one thing about watching Spurs is that it is always exciting.
On to the bigger picture though. Jose knows how to get teams over the line, that much we are already seeing, Spurs are not in anyway playing boring football under him, the exact opposite. Must have had more than a dozen efforts on goal today. Top Four is looking a real possibility now. Next week`s game at Chelsea is huge.
And full marks to Serge Aurier, started off poorly, but made a brilliant tackle second half to stop what could have been a Villa goal.
All in all though a very satisfying afternoon, other than the fact Son should have had a hat-trick, like I had a £1 on at 65/1. Although I did have a couple of pound on two or more qt 10/1, so was not all bad.
Villa manager moaning about the penalty, which was nailed on. And saying Villa had some great chances, to put the game to bed. No mention that Spurs had about 10 chances to win the game at a canter.
On to Leipzig now, and let`s hope the team will not be so wasteful. COYS
PS Could you imagine the meltdown had Sanchez made that mess up at the end.

How can anyone think Aurier played well today... he was shocking!!!
3 fouls early on... lucky not to get booked..
Distribution awful... crossing terrible... not to mention getting caught out of position numerous times..
Whenever Villa crosses the ball, he was nowhere
One saving tackle... granted...
Terrible, terrible player... we need Tananga to play there, until the end of the season..

Are you for real. Tanganga is not a right back, he is a CB. And Jose knows best, he likes Aurier, and so do I. Right back is Aurier`s now until he wants out.

Toby is goal aside was no more than a four. He was poor for most of the match, especially when corners came in.
