RIP Harry Gregg, a true legend of

the game. Most on the board will have probably never heard of him, but he was a Munich Survivor, and a hero on that tragic night in 1958.

I saw him for the first time on TV in the 1958 Cup Final, Man United v Bolton, just three months after the Munich Diaster. A true professional, he also played alongside our own Danny Blanchflower in the 1958 World Cup for the Northern Ireland Team that reached the QFinals that year.

Sandy

Harry was a great keeper and a great person.

He saved a number of lives when the United plane crashed in Munich, including Bobby Charlton.
He went back into the crash wreckage several times to get people out safely

RIP Harry
