Vvd is a player I’d long admired, obviously the idiots at our club couldn’t see the obvious, so I think as footy fees go, he was certainly worth ikerper looks good too, whereas Barca overpaid by an insane amount for Coutinho.. another thing that rankles about our scouting is you could see Robertson was some player at hull, we looked at shaw (hype over talent), you got him for 7m, now the best lb in footy. So you made some top decisions, we made stupid ones

Coutinho was outstanding for us and our best and main player. Of course he was going to be extremely expensive.

In the half of season before he went he had a goal or assist every game, most of these games were from midfield.

Yes it didn't work out as well for him at Barca, where they tried to play him on the left in place of Neymar but he was certainly worth that money to us, hence despite pulling out all the stops to keep him, we sold him at that price.
