Will Ole change his style of play

next season if he remains as manager? We've been poor to watch, at times like watching paint dry. As a fan i want to see the Ole from the first 8 or so games of his managerial tenure, we were very much an attacking team and exciting to watch. Even in pre season we played the high press.

Will Ole revert back to that next season or will he continue to play the same negative tactics?

Watching teams like Sheffield United attack teams from the start, surely its down to tactics/system rather than the players?

Chris Wilder only gets away with such negative tactics as they are a newly promoted side. Watching them park the bus and hope for the best from the very few chances they create must be extremely boring. But like Burnley, play garbage football but stay compact and hope to nick a win.

Thank goodness you'd never see Ole do that...

The difference is thats there tactic against nearly every team they play.

As opposed to Wilder, who wings it. If only Wilder had the tactical acumen of Ole and set his team up to defend, keep it tight, and hope a chance presents itself. Wilder clearly is incapable of such tactical genius

Sorry misread that. Ole veers between what we will see today against Watford. Keep the ball and hope something happens. And what we see against good teams. Don't keep the ball and hope something happens.

Look, I'll level with you here. Don't look at stats, watch the game today and tell me you think the team is set up to go out and get the win, and if things arent going our way (they won't be) Ole can change it to turn the game in our favour.

I'm sorry but I don't see how you can criticise Wilder for doing what Ole first every time he faces a moderately decent team, and those are the games in which Ole performs best

Sheffield United average 43.8% possession with 2 teams recording less which are Burnley and Newcastle United who are completely anti-football sides. We struggle against anti-football sides as we concede from few shots and score from taking tons of shots hence why we lost to Burnley and Newcastle United. In fact of 11 of the 12 lowest sides with possession in the league we have failed to beat them at least once with Norwich City being the only side we beat each time. Shot count massively in our favour similar to Guardiola sides in those games so it shows you how we seem to not be able to finish against park the bus sides.

Interestingly Liverpool who have won all 13 PL games at home have managed 84 shots 49 on target more than the opposition.

Man Utd who have won 6 games from 13 home games managed 96 shots 34 on target more than the opposition.

We are having to have more shots than the opposition at home to win less than half as many home games as Liverpool.

It's almost as if Liverpool have better forwards than we do. You can get away with being as stodgy as Liverpool often are if you can back it up with goals and have the players to do so, consistently. But if you don't have that luxury and still play as badly as we nearly always do, then you'll be where we are. And games like Watford at home have banana skin written all over them

Us playing badly is better than a side who have won every home game this season. Its our efficiency at both ends being so bad and VAR doing us over as well.
