I thought the penalty for Man City was the right decision. The Leicester player's arm was well away from his body and high, making himself much bigger. Regardless of why it was there, it was definitely handball.

De Bruyne's was a bit more debatable as his arms were directly in front of his face, within the width of his body. Could easily have been given, but I dont see it as a clear and obvious error that it wasn't. I don't think it should have been overruled if the decision went either way to be honest.

As a city fan I can say that I thought we were very lucky with the debruyne decision. I thought penalty when I saw it. As said above I also thought the praet handball was a definite penalty as his arm was way away from his body making himself bigger. I find it hard to accept the feeling on here ref ederson & Iheanacho. Ederson got the ball making a save and momentum totally took out Iheanacho. Thus the reason you got a corner. look at the slow mo you will see Ederson get his hands to the ball before he caught Iheanacho under the chin/throat. Not one Leicester player complained to the ref or even Iheanacho. The reaction tells you all you need to know. I actually thought it was a game between two even teams and it was a great game.

Yeah Ederson got to the ball at the same time as Iheanacho, maybe even slightly before. Never going to be a penalty.

Whilst I understand this viewpoint, is getting a slight contact on the ball and then cleaning out a player in an extremely dangerous fashion ok for a goalkeeper, but for an outfield player, by definition it’s a foul and a red card right?

I dont disagree that goalkeepers are over protected, but you were never getting a penalty for that. Incredibly unlikely anyone would.

If he hadn’t got that very slight contact on the ball Tam, would you say it should be given as a pen?

Of course, but he did get the ball so it's irrelevant.

Why are red cards/fouls given for follow through tackles even though the ball is won then? You can't have it both ways. It's a penalty.
