I'm not black, but don't see anything wrong describing a black guy as a black guy. Same as I don't see anything wrong describing a white guy as a white guy or a Chinese man as a Chinese man.

Obviously one is hazarding a guess at gender these days.

For me, racism is when one treats someone else differently based on their race.

What happened above in this thread does not meet that criteria.

Saying that someone who is black.is black isn't racist. It's factually accurate. There is no derogatory intention or stereotype attached. If it was said in a tone that made it clear that being black was seen as a bad thing then it would be racist, but that wasn't the case here.

Again. I never said Racism. And frankly your definition of racism is absurd! So you are saying that if somebody says something derogatory based on the colour of someone’s skin, which happens (and before you jump in, I never accused anyone of that!) that is not racism? What is it??

What you're describing is treating someone differently based on their race, it's exactly the criteria that you said is absurd.

If you do not believe that racism is treating someone differently based on their race, then what is your definition of racism exactly?

I sat in the East Stand, lower but fairly high up.

I thought the atmosphere was positive at all times with very few groans or other negative expressions when passes went astray or attacks broke down.

That said, I agree vocal support only came from north and south stands.

Interesting to see KP hobbling around and giving Pontus-like gestures to the south stand after the game.

Met up with Kiko after the game. He was wearing a cast on his right arm and stated that he sustained an injury just above his knuckles. I hope it’s not serious as I thought this was his best game this season!

Also met Norman Hunter who appeared quite frail.

Does that mean Kiko won't be fit for the next game or two?

Kop was like a morgue! Has been for a few seasons. Even the SS was pretty quiet first half. Yes down to nerves I think.

Thought Costa is starting to show his quality. Hopefully he keeps improving.

Harrison has a great first touch but he never ever gets to the by line without a one - two. Lack of pace or ability - or both?

Dallas solid. Bamford not at his best but I agree he’s still important to our system. However he would have been subbed for Big Kev had we not scored.

Klich is just class personified.

As for the tall, not white guy who ran through the middle -

Yes he posed problems and saying he was tall and black described him perfectly. I immediately knew who you were talking about and in no way is it improper to describe him by his colour IMO.

Kiko is allegedly in the dock for saying “black” in Spanish which is Negro - or if he was calling him a big girls blouse - Negra.

I’m sure that will be his defence anyway.
