Bruno

If we had got our act together and went all out for him in the summer we’d be closer to City & Leicester than we are to Wolves & Sheffield Utd I suspect.

Still not irreversible damage thankfully.

Dubious (at very best, source) but apparently our negotiation team paid too much for Bruno https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/talksport.com/football/669861/man-united-paid-how-much-value-fee-bruno-fernandes-sporting-lisbon-transfer/amp/

If though I feel something's not his fault, then I'll say it, Woodward or not.

..........

To be fair, I am the same.

Before RDD's relentless idiocy on Ed, I did defend him when it wan't really all down to him.

I just don't have the will anymore.

I agree, it hasn't always been all down to Ed. Certainly not at the start anyway. However his incompetence in footballing matters, combined with his increasing influence on all aspects at the club other than his own specialised subject, making money, (which he happens to be very good at ) has been a slow burner. I think that there was a watershed moment when Glazers lost their trust in football managers no matter who they thought they were after the Jose episode on wanting another centre half (Maguire) after the 3 he had bought to the club turned out to be crap. Basically Ed and the owners now think they know as much as if not more about player recruitment and contracts than their managers.

Which for me means that Ed has morphed himself into being partly to fully responsible for all our woes over the last few seasons, in the bigger picture.

I think it's much more plausible that the recruitment team agreed to go after other targets than Woodward saying no to a transfer for Bruno.

...............

You give Ed too much credit.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ed and the plausible haven't always gone hand in hand

This is the same guy who said no to Jose's targets the previous summer only to pursue them last summer. So him saying no to Bruno isn't beyond him for whatever reason he had.

Last summers window yet again reeked of his incompetence culminating in him failing to land any of the targets he abandoned Bruno for.

There's one big difference between last summer and the one before though. The media actually reported it the summer Mourinho was still in charge.

There's been nothing to suggest the same thing happened last summer. There's more reason to believe it was a decision made by either the management team and/or the chief scouts.

I don't. The guy's an imcompetent pr!ck and should've been removed from making any sporting decisions years ago.

If though I feel something's not his fault, then I'll say it, Woodward or not.

Didn't you basically agree with me yesterday that it wasn't Woodward's fault anyway?

Not good enough. Hou either give Ed no credit or you are a fanboy. Pathetic from supposed adults.

He is the chairman. He is there to oversee the whole club you plank.
