Reflection on last nights game

Firstly, thoroughly enjoyed watching Chelsea and everyone's mate Frank getting schooled last night.

To be honest, if they wanted too, Bayern could have scored 6.

But I did find it funny on a couple points.

1. How obsessed the media are with Spurs. I counted 19 negative references made about Spurs by the commentary team during the match, and a further 5 made by the post match chit chat pundits. Making it 24 at the point I switched the telly off.

I do appreciate we too got comprehensively beat by Bayern, but would not just a couple of mentions of that result sufficed ?

Are we to expect a similar amount of positive references made of Spurs during / after tonight's City Real game, given we have beaten both of these in the CL in the last few years ? my guess is not.

2. Still amazes me how Frank and Chelsea continue to get a free pass, with plenty of phrases such as " this is a learning curve" or "this will be a lesson for Frank's kids"

At one point Hoddle was saying "if only they had got one goal, they could go to Germany with some hope" seriously ???

Regarding the constant referral to "kids" that we keep hearing, sorry but that does not wash. Chelsea had at least 6/7 experienced players out there, plus the so called "kids" have now had 27 PL games and about 8/9 cup games. How long do we call them kids and keep cutting them a break.

When Spurs get beat in big game we get the full on media response, even getting it full on when we are not even playing ( as above ). This should be the same with Chelsea, rather than these constant media excuses. After all is their fault they got the transfer ban and Frank is not the only manager in his first season.

Tbf if it wasn't for those 5 goals in the second half you might have got something out of that game

Not might’ve, we would’ve as it would’ve been 2-2.

Well then it would have been 2-2

Why are you getting involved, you lost 5-1 TWICE over two legs didn't you?

When Spurs win - they aren't talking about us
When Spurs lose - why are they talking about us

Shows just how far we have to go to compete with Bayern........and even Man City.
Did you watch the Real Madrid v Man City game today?
Real 1 - ManCity 2!!!
That's one for the ages.
We could not do that until ENIC sells out.
