De Gea needs to be dropped

Ole needs to bench him for a game or two. Romero is more than capable of deputising. I get the feeling De Gea feels he expects to be playing regardless of his performances. Yes he has saved us in the past but thats his job to make saves and he gets paid for it, cant keep bringing that up. I remember Fergie dropping De Gea when he made an error and he came back stronger, Ole needs to do the same.

IAMMe the amazing thing since SAF left is that he is a keeper near bottom of saves per game and some reason he has been praised in that time lol. He had 1 good season since SAF left and that was 17/18 season.

He messed up on the goal but otherwise was pretty good for the rest of the game. Romero is a a great back up keeper but he’s still a way off De Gea in terms of quality.

Not really interested in 'stats' per se - they reveal very little.

But simply by observing all the games, it is more often than the other way round that the performance of the opposition keeper are more notable. That is not down to 'chance' or the opposition 'raising their game' etc.

No player has made more errors leading to goals since the start of last season than De Gea. I was going to say it may not be a bad thing if he left on a free, didn't know he'd signed a six year contract!

Ive said before I'm not sure he's suited to the modern game mainly because he's not great with his feet and stays on his line. I think he's better when he's busier too but he's kept plenty of clean sheets lately.

Maguire needs to take a portion of the blame as well.

There was no need for that pass back to DDG. Why didn't he just play it out?

Cannot blame McGuire. He played to De Gea then moved to a position which De Gea can easily passed to him so that we can move forward and by pass Everton striker

Let's clear this up.
We aren't talking about sticking Jordan Henderson in goal are we?

He probably wouldn't have conceded that first goal
