Another domestic cup win, that’s now 34 on the bounce, if we make it 36 then it’s a 4th treble in a row, quite incredible.
Thought it was a classic cup tie yesterday, pitch was a shocker so I’m not going to criticise anyone for misplaced passes or anything like that yesterday, not a game for easy on the eye football.
We still managed to create 5 or 6 really good chances in the game though but Forster was also worked a lot more than he should have been. The chance in the 2nd half where Eddy hits the post then Julien’s chance after it goes wide, I mean, how the fluck did that not go in?
In the end the goal comes which was actually a cross but Julien does well anyway as it stops the keeper from having an easy save. After that we seen the game out pretty comfortably.
Few moments of note:
Tackle on Forrest a flooking shocker.
Hayes with a beast of a tackle on MOH
Greg Taylor looked like a junior player.
If we’re going to play 3-5-2 and attack for the majority down the wing then Boli has to play before Taylor.
Good to see El Hammed on the bench, imagine he won’t be risked on the Astro on Wednesday so he might play for the reserves today/tomorrow in prep for Saturday.
It would appear Jozo and Elyounoussi are both out for a week or two so both major doubts for Ibrox I’d imagine.
Anyway, another semi final and after the pleasing result at Tynecastle on Saturday, we should be looking to secure another treble
