Didn't watch any last night though saw the goal that beat Inter Miami in their 1st game. The games I've watched in the past have been very variable quality.
However, the aspect that interests me is the completely different way they go about it over there. I'm using IM as the example because it is the latest. Nothing to do with Beckham. Read the website about their values, motto, mission etc. All very corporate USA and not very football as we know it. Seems like Morgan was signed for his cultural diversity as much as anything?
They bought a stadium, knocked it down, built a new one a sa temporary home for 2 years then will spend $1bn on their state of the art home at the airport and use the old one as their training academy! The sort of ambition that is lacking in Europe outside of RB Leipzig though you could argue the Man City model too? However, look at the abuse these clubs have received? Hoffenheim too.
Anyway, it reflect the American spirit of ambition and comfort talking about money. Big money. They even publish the salaries of all their players. Would cause mayhem over here in our industry of everyone lying to each each other.
There are some colleges over there that no longer have American football teams and are soccer only. MLS is expanding. Every city will have a team. There is a pyramid structure. Boys catching up with the girls in numbers playing. Ability to attract players from South America easily. IM being bilingual - poor Lewis, Señor.

O.K. First of all, there already is a CONCACAF Champions League. Mls teams take part in that competition.
Secondly, regarding sponsorship(sorry) the reason American sports makes so much from it is because the sports are all geared towards giving the sponsors exposure.
(example) NHL if the game goes too long (don't know how many seconds) without a whistle there is a rule that the ref must stop play for a commercial message.
Adverts at throw-ins? Corners? Penalties?
Also a game of 4X15minute quarters takes 2.5 hours or more start to finish. Same as a game of 3X20minute periods.
How long do we think a game of 2X45minutes will take to complete?
1 really cool thing is that no American sports have shirt sponsors.

RB Leipzig have apologised after 20 Japanese fans were asked to leave their stadium during Leipzig's game against Bayer Leverkusen due to coronavirus fears.
The club say they are inviting the supporters back for their next home game.

I stand corrected then. Small patch on the left corner sounds like the club badge in football. But the team's logo and Name are across the front, like the shirt sponsors in fitba.
It's a strange, strange world.
But I am right about the CONCACAF C.L.
