At the end of last night’s game I had a sense of relief more than anything as it looked like Celtic we’re heading for a defeat.
Lennon said in his post match comments that he thought Celtic were ‘Excellent’ and ‘Magnificent’. Sorry Lenny but that is the sort of pash that WGS used to say when everyone could see that Celtic had a poor game by their own standards.
IMHO, Celtic were ‘Magnificent’ at poor defensive errors. Forster and Jullien were last night’s culprits. Last week it was Jozo and Ajer.
IMHO, Celtic were ‘Excellent’ at keeping up the pressure right to the end when we managed to get the equalising goal.
Lenny, you have done a great job so far but please stop the WGS style post match pash.

I think Mccoist nailed it for you last night-his take on the game might have been different if the result from Ibrox hadn’t been the same.
Folk are too ready to be critical these days. Change your diaper and enjoy the moment.

Perspective for me would have been Lenny saying ‘We weren’t at our best against a very tough and well organised Livingston team but I’m proud of the way they kept going to find the equaliser. Self inflicted errors made the task more difficult for us so I’m pleased to have got something from the game. Livingston deserve credit for their defensive performance’.
IMHO most fans would feel the above is a better way of summarising rather than saying CELTIC were ‘Magnificent’ or ‘Excellent’ CELTIC were neither. Yes Lenny does not throw his players under a bus, like SG does, but he needs to be careful of not turning into WGS. Those who remember the WGS era at Celtic will recall how sick the fans got of his post match comments being at odds with what took place. Yes I know that behind the scenes stern words are likely to take place but don’t try to fool fans.

We were unlucky not to win the game as we had some great chances and they got lucky with 2 errors but never had any other attempt on goal.
For the entire second half they had 11 ball. It was like playing san marino

Margins are slim. Just because we dropped points does not make it a bad performance either.

It was adequate to salvage a point. Far too many mis-placed passes and poor crosses. Credit to the team for keep going to the end. Not bad but not great.

One that was disappointing was how long it took lennon to change it. We were being stifled all night and it wasnt till frimmy came on and forest switched sides did we cause them problems.
Man what a find frimmy is. Such energy and attitude.

Bang on the money. If rangers had won and we lost it would have been pandemonium. Down to 9 points with a game in hand.

schite pitch against a tight team.
we had all the ball but it was too compact to break them down.
no complaints about a draw, I just think Livi defended really well.

I've no problem with Lenny saying that in public, but he's not stupid, he'll not be telling the players that in private, he'll be expecting more.
