Livingston 2 v 2 Celtic

Morning troops.

What an eventful night in the Scottish Premiership. For Celtic to have gained any more ground in the title race last night, was unthinkable. Rangers at home to Hamilton meant you felt Celtic needed to win to keep them at arms length.

Footballs a funny old game and we moved 13 points clear last night, disappointing not to go 15 clear but I’ll take it.

I actually thought we played very well in the first half last night, we dominated Livi and won a lot of 2nd balls. We deservedly took the lead and could have scored another 1 or 2, Edouards effort, for me, he should be hitting the target.

We then lose a goal, an uncharacteristic mistake from Forster but to be fair it was some finish after it.

2nd half got off to the worst possible start and it’s easy to blame Julien because he was hoaching last night but it starts with Brown, Forrest and McGregor trying to play a triangle in as tight a space as you can find and then losing it then it goes to Julien who then just has a nightmare after that.

After that I didn’t think we looked like scoring in all honesty, I think we maybe had 4 chances the full 2nd half? We took one of them which is good play from Eddy and finish from Rogic.

Obviously knowing the result at Ibrox, it felt like a big goal and it was.

Few points to note from last night:

Dykes gives Julien the fear.
Brown isn’t needed when we’re chasing a game.
How bad is Klimala to not get a sniff?
Forrest is useless in those games as stated yesterday.
Frimpong and Biton were the only 2 to get real pass marks for me.
Ajer is struggling, looks injured whenever he’s running these days.

In the end it turned out to be a good night, 13 clear with 9 games left for us, just 6 wins needed now. Although I think it’ll be done before that, Ross County will fancy it up there on Sunday.

I bid you a good day troops.

Anyone a bit of a throw-in expert on here? I thought a good few of those long throws from the Livvy boy Brown looked foul throws, might be wrong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Aye, thought both feet had to be on the ground.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think pretty much every one of that guy's long throws were fouls ... one foot off the ground every time, and half of them he seemed to have stepped onto the park inside the touchline as well. Repeatedly pointed out on BT. Chances of one of our linos spotting that? Zero.

Full credit to Livi BTW. Wouldn't want to watch that style every week (or any week really), but it's very effective.

Watched both games there.

Both could have gone either way.

They are indeed, TMQ.

Unfortunately, with the way the top 6 is looking, there's a 50/50 chance we'll be going there for a fecking THIRD time this season after the split. Same chance of a 3rd league trip to Pittodrie as well.
