It’s a different take to short passing and it’s actually quite a nice alternative. Maybe not as exciting when teams are defending deep but the Liverpool set up is very versatile. Really one of the best performances I’ve seen in Europe tonight from Liverpool. Other than finishing, there haven’t been many teams who’ve sustained this sort of pressure on opposition for so long other than peak Barca.

For a team that wins so much in reality their midfield from a creative standpoint is pretty average. Fabinho and Wijnaldum are ok but really if they want to go to the next level they really do need to get rid of Henderson.

Na they need Henderson. He’s the glue to the team. However they need a better player than Ox, who will never be that attacking threat everyone thought he’d be. A prime Stevie G, and there’s no weakness in this midfield. Maybe someone like Pjanic or someone with more of a goal threat as well as playmaking abilities is what they could do with

Fabinho usually offers protection in midfield and Wijnaldum offers that box to box option. The other element they need is someone who is really good on the ball Henderson ain't that player. Someone like Thiago Alcantara or someone of that ilk would improve them.
