I’ve seen worse. A lot worse. Good to see you back on though. Been a fair bit of football played since you were last on...

The team setup to start was baffling, Leverkusen were always going to be a class above and we far too flat with no real pace or width on attack. Their attacking midfielders had the run of the game in between the lines.

The second half was better when Kamberi was introduced and he looks a good player if not a goalscorer, and his direct play made a big difference. Kind of game we could’ve done with Jones on the wing on the counter.

I still felt Leverkusen had a couple of gears to go through tbh.

We started off in the fourth qualifying round and are the first team to get this far.

To expect us to seriously compete with a strong Bundesliga team is just a bit fanciful IMO.

Its been a great campaign but last night was always going to be a step too far.

That's why I unashamedly took Leverkusen -1 at 3/1.

If we are going out might as well make a few quid out of it

Although now they have suspended the CL and EL maybe we aren't actually going to end up getting knocked out

I didn't find our tactics baffling at all. Its a tried and successfully tested method that many team visiting Ibrox use, team like Hamilton, Aberdeen and Celtic...just sit in and try and absorb all pressure, hopefully keep it at 0-0 then change it up with 20mins to go..Was working too until the penalty which would not have been given without VAR. The penalty was there first shot on goal I believe

Bravo!

Sitting in to try and absorb pressure is fine if you have an out all, we didn’t until Kamberi came on. Why it was baffling to me.

No one got close to or provided Morelos any service to get into the game until then.

To all the decent Gers fans reading, commiserations on your result. This might be a step too far. If you are honest, did you expect anything from the tie? Hope you can finish with credibility. To come through this Euro campaign the way you have is impressive. Your team, your Manager, the club and some stand out player performances have made the rest of Europe sit up and take notice and that’s a credit to your club.
