By early April the Covid 19 disease in the UK will be a lot worse than it is now.
Medical authorities believe uk is about 4 weeks behind Italy and if it proves to be as bad here as in Italy then a national lockdown is more likely than a resumption of football fixtures.
Current predictions are for a peak in infections will be May.
Anyone believe football will be resumed early April?
April 3rd?

It will start again in the summer maybe.
If it's too dangerous to hold sporting events, why are our schools still open? Complete lack of leadership in this country
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because schools are very different to sporting events?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah.
We all now the advice.
Don't put your fingers up your nose, in your mouth, and wash you hands properly, and as often as possible.
Thankfully school children are renowned for adhering to these rules without question.
The kids will be fine.

The issue with schools is that who looks after the kids if parents are working? Grandparents? The very age group that are at most risk of dying from this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Every apparent solution has a problem not immediately obvious, like this and like football behind closed doors = packed pubs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty sure pubs are packed before and after football matches. 🤔

Hence why postponing games is a far better solution than playing behing closed doors

Well unless grandparents are planning on not seeing their grandkids for the next few months, that contact will happen anyway. Then consider that there are plenty of school staff over 60 too.
If the idea is we should avoid sporting events because it's too dangerous to be in large gatherings, then we should all be working from home and in lockdown

But not everyone can work from home. Grandparents should be kept away from anyone anyway.

========
If they are over 60 and want to live more than a few months then they are best advised not to see their grandkids...

Possibly ......Euro2020 will be postponed till next year if possible.
Domestic fixtures/leagues will conclude if conditions allow up to a set date. After that ... who knows !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why a set date?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So they have enough time to organise next season's formats across Europe and organising the minimum that we get done...hopefully.
That's why a set date.

I can't work from home, and if my company shut down then a lot more people will die than will die from Coronavirus.
