European super league

With the Cl and EL qualification up in the air and very unlikely to find an easy solution, will we see the much talked about European Super League come into play? The advocates that have been discussing this for a while now but part of the problem was what happens to the existing home leagues, CL and EL. The Super league is rumored to partially be a franchise based system so there's no qualification issues to deal with if the season is voided. This could be the opening the architects of this system need to revamp the European football landscape as we know it.

The Champions League is utter bobbins as it is, please don't let them make it even worse.

European competitions should be a straight knockout.

It's a no from me also.

The CL is the 'European Super League'...

The atmosphere and rivalries of local/domestic rivalries is a different form of tense and excitement in comparison to the glitzy CL nights. You don't get this feeling in European nights. There isn't that attachment.

CL nights are great, and exciting. And if you win it, it's euphoria. But it'll never replace the historic rivalries that clubs have built up over generations in their respective domestic leagues.

That's the sentimental side.

The financial side for fans could be astronomical.

It would also start to lose some of that glitzy glamour once you know that your team is guaranteed to regularly play some of the usual giants of European football every season.

Keep the CL special, by leaving out the European Super League.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But as an earlier article brought up, the organisers don't give a crap about fans, all they care about is TV money. And among all this chaos, who knows.

I understand that the businessmen will only care about the revenues brought in.

In reality, it isn't that much different under the current formats of top flight domestic league and Champions League. IE There is already big money in especially our league alongside the CL. But they both also bring something to the table. Something that the ESL would lack.

It has been a long footballing tradition to compete and qualify from your domestic league to the CL. Why change that?

Ugh.

I’ve been waiting for the final straw, and this would represent one of its potential forms.

Make the CL a true knock out cup competition.

Money would never allow that to happen again, i'm afraid.

Time to evolve. CL is stale, so is the league.
