Heard an interesting proposal on the radio.
Basically saying that the football season should be moved from winter months to later on in a year when the weather is better and the nights longer.
Have to be honest made a lot of sense and personally would be up for it.
It looked at the wider aspects rather than just the top clubs and prem. Argument was that for the lower clubs and even non league it would maybe improve attendance. Simply due to nicer weather and longer daylight.
Couldn't argue with that personally. I know I'd make more effort if I wasn't stood in freezing conditions and darkness.

Think how much more depressing winter would be and summer is about being outside and enjoying life, not staying indoors watching football.

Football over the summer would change our whole way of life. If the professional game changed then what about amateur and youth?
The season is aligned with school season so it would be out of line with schools and local leagues.

Where I live, we have a summer league, and it’s always well attended. Moving all football to the summer would probably kill off nearly a hundred years of tradition for that league. Leave the professional game where it is.

I could never play cricket because they wear white. Everytime I wear white I end up eating something with read sauce and proceed to drip half my meal on my chest. Red or Black for this clusterf*ck.
