More questions than answers

I have just seen today that a player and a staff member at Cardiff are being tested and one would think, over the next few weeks, the number of players who contract the virus will increase. More players will have to self-isolate. More teams will be unable to field their teams. By the time we get to April, will it be physically possible for teams to play each other?
And what will the situation look like in June, or July?
Even if by some miracle we find a cure, this pandemic will take months to render harmless. Football, like everything else, is off the agenda for at least six months. What will it look like when it comes back? And will we still be in the fooking Championship?

I say as long as it is safe and if 'possible' finish the current season from mid-August, the time the new(20-21) season should be starting, have the Euros after that, say in OCT/NOV, meaning season 20-21 is scrapped, and the following season(21-22) next year could start in May/June say, and, even have a Winter break during that season...

All Leagues should be brought to a conclusion!..

Exactly the way it should be, cancel all others until leagues are sorted!..

I think authorities will be looking to have any solution for this season completed before the traditional contract end date of end of June.

Read this morning that part of the plan is to suggest all contracts expiring in June to be extended.

Lubo, Jonty - good point, this whole business gets more complicated, uglier and insidious with the passing of each hour.

it is not difficult, the only sensible answer is to play behind closed doors.

...as much as I was hoping that this would be the quickest solution - if current multiplying in rates in France is anything to go by, a lot of teams may not have strong enough squads to even complete fixtures behind closed doors.

The French authorities are currently expecting peaks in 50 days time and that's moving on a daily basis.
