How to move forward

This will be a long read but please bear with me. This is only my suggestion, so before you all go ripping it apart, this isn’t the final solution.

Firstly, if all being well, I would do the following:

Season 2019-20 to be completed from 1st September to 30 Nov across all over Europe.(inc cup competitions) That mirrors the current 3 months left of this season which is yet to be played.

I, like the majority of fans would never want Liverpool to win the league, but the integrity of the competition must be upheld, and if after 38 games they are top, then they are the deserved winners.

This obviously impacts out of contract players, the transfer window, and the 2020-2021 season.

Therefore, all players that have contracts ending will have them extended to 30th Nov. The clubs will have to pay for this.
If a player chooses not to extend, he cannot play for another club until the 2020-21 season begins which will be 1st January 2021.

The transfer window will be from 1st December 2020 to 31st January 2021.

The new season will be from 1st January 2021 until 31st May 2021. All leagues will be split into 2. So for example, the top 10 will form Premier League 1, the bottom 10, Premier League 2. These positions will be based upon the finishing positions of the 2019-20 season. The 3 promoted teams will play in Premier League 2. This is only a one-off season to accommodate the current situation.
The other alternative is that there's no league split, but everyone plays each other only once. That's the sacrifice or compromise that everyone has to make. Some teams will play 10 home games and some 10 away.

There will be no League Cup. The FA Cup and all European matches will be knock-out matches and all teams will be drawn from one pot. There will be no 2nd legs, all 1 leg matches.

The Euros can then take place in June 2021 as proposed, and the 2021-22 season can begin as scheduled in Aug 2021 reverting back to the 20 team format in the 2019-20 season.

There really is no perfect answer, but I would like to think this will provide some short term one-off solution to an unprecedented situation.

The season cannot be voided. No one should receive a trophy where the competiton had not been completed.
Finish the season and hand out the trophy to the deserved winners.

This was the sentiment from the journalists on the Sunday Supp yesterday.

Season needs to be finished and build any further schedules around that

Id like think the suggestion i've made allows this season to finish, and provide solutions to the obvious issues it will cause moving forward.

Here's some precedent.

Chilean club bosses voted to end the 2019 season early after failing to pick things up after a month and a half of postponements due to the riots last year.

They simply awarded the title to whoever was on top at the time of suspension, despite the race still being wide open with 6 games left.

The season ended with none of the 16 clubs getting relegated, but with 2 more teams getting promoted. A temporary measure for the 2020 season, which will see the league expected to return to 16 teams at the end of the season.

This doesn't look too farfetched for the Premier League at all, to be honest. Especially considering that majority of the clubs rely on the end-season TV payments for almost 60-75% of their annual revenues.

Premier League clubs can do whatever the hell they want when it comes down to it. They could all vote and have the season decided by an egg and spoon race, and there's nothing anyone could do about it.

Just look at how they have managed to financially blackmail the rest of the English football pyramid to agree to something as evil as the EPPP.
