OK, so we've heard about the airline industry and the redundancies and possible bail outs/or not.
So what is going to happen with all these empty cruise ships stood in dock,or sailing around in circles ?.What about the people who have booked cruises this year, and what about the cruise booking companies and their staff,not to mention the ships crews !
I hope Cunard don't go bust !

I highly recommend the North Cape cruise to anyone,wonderful scenery and great food,especially on the Norwegian ships.

Cruise ships are a virus dream without this corona coming along. Baffled that anyone would want to get on one in the first place when so much of the world has so much more to offer.
Isn't it like a two death average on any cruise or something.

We were booked on the cruise that got quarantined off San Fransisco at the end of April Early May for four days, along with Vegas, Death Valley & Vancouver as a trip...all cancelled now
We love cruises, been on about 8 now, looking to rebook in Jan round the caribbean hopefully.
Cruise lines are offering great deals to re-book with 125% off deals & onboard spend upped, free WIFI allsorts
We'll see what happens

Meanwhile though...all the ships in the world will be idly moored up making no money & costing just to do nothing...not to mention the 100's of thousands of crew stuck wherever they are

You should try going 9 months on one of Her Majesty's finest Grey Funnel lines.
Plenty to keep all types busy - Hands to Action Stations, Fire Exercises, Aerial Defence Exercises, Three square plates of slop a day, scrubbing out for Captain's Rounds, Circiut Training on the flight deck after work and Vodka at 10p a shot in the Chiefs Mess!
