2022 World Cup - League rescheduling

Is now the perfect time to sort out a new schedule for the leagues?

The season dates were going to have to change for it anyway as its not a summer tournament.

Yeah, they can tie it all in together quite nicely I reckon. Euro 21 may be a slight issue but it is workable.

Isn't there talk of a possible Euro 21 in Jan rather than summer? Meaning finish league and cups and new season starts late Feb/March

In the end all these decisions will come home to roost, like the in season world cup.

If you think about this stuff slightly logically even then there are 3 stages to the issue:

1. current domestic seasons completed. This is must not for Liverpool's title. It is a must for TV contract and could bust the prem if not.

2. international competitions completed. Each for their own contractual reasons need to be done. The CL will be forced through no matter that by the sounds of things

3. time for a new season provided 20/21 needs to start soemtime and be finished to avoid impact on 21/22

4. Euros and ACON need to be wedged in somehow. could even be over the same timeframe i suppose.

5. some off season prior to august 2021/22 kick off

Peoepl keep wanting to ignore the contracts and tv companies in this stuff but in the end I've already cancelled my sky sub and have a 30 days notice now occurring. If the whole of europe cancels these companies will be seriously unhappy.

gues what happens to the clubs and leagues, sell sky default on paying them. Then guess what It all goes bang.

We have to see that the oversea money coming in for the football is even more important and if you are offering nothing to them then they cut you off even quicker.

football will be back on behind closed doors in may/june imo. business is business.

I have to sit in this office risk my skin for a non essential product so why the hell should footballers who apparently only get a mild sniffle be different?

How will football be “back on behind closed doors” in May if the UK policy is to achieve herd immunity and the peak isn’t now expected until July?

Use your brain man. Do you think football can be played between squads of players half of whom have coronavirus?

League is done, no way will it be completed if the virus is still around in July.
