Quick Question JA606

Did anyone really seriously think the league would just be cancelled given the current circumstances we are all in
I get some folk want to wum and all that, but did you really think they would cancel it.

We're talking about a multi billion pound industry, teams have invested hundred of millions of pounds developing their teams to win trophies, win leagues, win promotions, and secure European football.

Now a sensible and predictable outcome has been reached to suspend indefinitely and then finish when its safe, let me ask you again?

Did you really think they would just cancel it

Unlucky if you did

Who gives a f*ck? People are dying.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What a thick tw*t.

Were people not dying last year.

or the year before

or the year before.

Approximately 55 MILLION people across the world die every year.

Funny how you've never wanted to stop football before.

What a piece of work you are.

The temerity to call someone else thick

Coronavirus is a pandemic and never seen the like of before so we need to think about the effect of mass gathering where the spread is very prominent and even if played behind closed doors, players will get in contacts and the officials too.

Some people are selfish beyond comprehension and all this because they want to get the title - never mind people's health!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow you talk some crap.

Nobody is saying we don't need to think about the effect of mass gathering.

But to suggest perfectly fit and well players can't play behind closed doors is b*ll*cks.

Nobody gives a f*ck about Liverpool getting the title or not, other than some small picture Liverpool fans.

Personally, I’d be happy if they gifted you the title without starting the league back up.

My view is people need to think about the smaller clubs and not the big boys.

I was shocked 2008 didn't kill off 10 clubs. This on the other hand has forced zero income on them for months and i can't see there being no bankruptcies. I kind of thingk 20 maybe?

Rochdale chief executive David Bottomley believes next season should be prioritised over going on to complete the 2019-20 campaign.

“We would have preferred a line in the sand drawn on this season with promotion, relegation and championships et cetera based on points per game and to come out with a start date for next season, because we’re delaying the inevitable here,” he told BBC Radio Manchester.

Bottomley said the knock-on effect of an ‘indefinite’ timeline on the season would impact on clubs as businesses and the futures of players themselves.

“We were supposed to be starting new pitch work on the 4 May, which would have taken 12 weeks to complete ahead of the new season,” he continued.

“So if we have a season that potentially starts (again) in May and then starts again in August, we’ll have to get a new pitch in.

“There are also players that are out of contract in June of this year and also, for most clubs at our level, the season ticket income normally comes in in May and June.

“It keeps a club like Rochdale going through the lean summer months when you have no income.

“Who is now going to buy a season ticket on 1 May when they don’t know when next season is going to start?

“I’m just putting forward the issues we face in football by these continued delays over the playing of sport.”

Majority of the site thinks the league will be cancelled. So many articles.

This should show all Liverpool fans what they're dealing with on this site. Common sense goes out the window every time.
