What did you do in the end?

I’m an accountant, don’t mind it actually but most people can’t seem to bear the thought of number crunching

I came back met the mrs in 2000, did a banking job but retail. did that for 5 years and retired

Got into recruitment and did well until 2009, then got into HR/internal recruitment.

been doing that since, now working for a FTSE 2o firm as a senior HR team member

Like the job but not enamoured by it

Yeah I quite like it actually. Money is decent, not amazing

Am actually looking for a job (well I was until covid 19 come in) as I want to get a bit more money. Currently work in practice but thinking of moving into an investment or corporate finance firm

You sound like a people person which I guess you need to be in recruitment

In hindsight I think supermarket magnate/toilet roll manufacturer

I got a good family life mate and that keeps me happy.

We also have the foster lad who is really progressing so really adds to our dynamic.
