I have no idea how I'm going to cope

with no routine of going to work over the foreseeable future.

I have in my 54 years on this planet excluding my educational years
only had some 2 months without being in work.

That's 2 months in 36 years without a routine with set hours, being around
non family and meeting new people.

This is going to be a test for me and billions around the globe.Basically living with only my nearest and dearest on a physical basis for the foreseeable.

I hope that everyone can cope with the difficult times ahead as domestic issues could come to the fore in such times.

I hope all on here all the best for the trying times ahead

Learned 30 minutes ago that my factory is shut for three weeks. Not concerned about the financial implications but as a divorced dad of two I am really worried about not seeing my ankle biters. They pop in most days (usually for money). To go three weeks without seeing them is going to absolutely crease me. I lost both parents within 5 months in 2018 but the way I feel now is on another level. Not only that but I've been scratching round the house for booze, found a bottle of Lidls Irish Cream (Baileys copy) that was given as a housewarming present. Vile substance but has taken the edge off. Look after yourselves and keep posting, really does cheer me up.

Why would work closing mean you don't see your kids?

Dont go down the alcohol route mate.

In times like these and what you said it is all to easy to find solace in a bottle.

Will do you no favors when all this is over and it will be over at some point.

Still working, but trying to do most of it from home if I can. I never actually realised how busy work was from a day to day perspective. Although still extremely busy, being around my children more has made me aware that I really am a lucky man, and that I should make the most of the opportunity of being around them.
Stay safe (and sane) everyone.

Sorry RDD, me not working is not the reason I won't see my kids, I wasn't clear. Until other posters cleared up what was allowed under the new restrictions I was under the impression the kids weren't allowed to travel between homes. Michael Gove made that clear as mud this morning.

Hi Red, thanks for the concern but I did all my serious drinking as a young man. Wouldn't put my kids through that malarkey. Like a beer mind but there's k'all in the shops
