WTF China

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — As the World Health Organization (WHO) praises China for its "tailored approach" to handling the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, a video has surfaced of a Chinese woman vividly describing patients being bound in body bags and cremated while still alive.

china government deserves to be gullotined

Absolute bollox.

What's the point of our intelligence agencies then?

How the fack is "Boo hoo, the Chinese lied to us ......" even acceptable from anyone working in our government?

Is that going to be our go-to excuse whenever the next Ebola outbreak floods out of an African country?

Is that going to be our excuse when we suddenly wake up one day with half the Russian Northern fleet patrolling The Thames?

If there's going to be an inquisition when all this is over, it had better be one for our government.

Yes we understand possible causes but we don't know the exact cause.

Would not be surprised if true. China’s numbers do not add up at all.

Pangolins in cages on top of bats at Wuhan wet Bush meat markets appears to be the epicentre, according to scientists.

That's after bird flu and Sars from China.

There is a pattern developing.

Perhaps, we could politely ask China to rethink a few things, seeing as they virtually are now number one super power.

From the article above:

Despite confirmation that pangolins carry viruses closely related to the one behind Covid-19 (a virus known as SARS-CoV-2), exactly how the virus jumped from wild animals to humans remains a mystery.

The horseshoe bat and now the pangolin have both been implicated, but the precise sequence of events is unknown.

Fair enough, Cal.

We will wait and see, but bird flu and Sars were originally from China sources, right?

All I'm saying is we don't know the exact circumstances. I just don't think it is helpful to apportion blame. We need to learn from these things and then put in measures that limit the chances of it happening again.

Virtually all extant and hitherto undiscovered zoonotic viruses will statistically originate in tropical countries as a result of their rich biodiversity. We've already had to deal with viruses from tropical Asia, Africa and the Americas over the years.

I realise that you clearly have a political axe to grind here. But are you suggesting we target our anger at individual countries each time some zoonotic nightmare pops up in the future?
