I was so determined to prove that google merked me that I went back and looked at my search history. Yes yes not only did I google the wrong city (Hubei), but I read to population all wrong. So yea I will take the L. But I still don’t really care if the population of Wuhan is 11m or 11b there isn’t a chance in hell China’s figures are accurate. People are saying that up to 66% of the nation will have covid19 and only for 0.5% or something like that of China get infected? Nah sorry no chance

Covid-19, I believe, consists of of only four RNA strains ...made up of two forms, L and S.

Microbiologists say it is not mutating at present, based on the L and S forms discovered?

So in structure, simpler than flu, for example.

Hopefully, this makes it easier to find a vaccine sooner.

Chinese numbers are nonsense, that is obvious.

As for the US, it is quite ridiculous how we are going about it, some states in lockdown but then neighbouring states playing catch up days or a week later. Has to be all or nothing surely.

The numbers going up is a good thing in reality, the more cases the less people 'out there'.

Agree on news coming from China, Cini.

Chins is going back to work and at the same time, travel into China is stopping.

Just watched news as a guy tried to go from S Korea to Bejing with a 24 hour deadline to get there, and he made it, nearly, arriving in China with 3 hrs to go.

Now, he and all on his flight are in isolation in a hotel for 14 days, after several temperature and swab tests at airports and on the plane, by cabin crew in full body suit mask kit.

It looks like a sci-fi film.

After two months Chinese lockdown, including welding doors of homes shut and beating up citizens, China is now closed to the world, but open for business???

They're still exporting goods. They're not letting people come in with certain exceptions and those come with certain measures in place.

The other thing is, in China 95%+ of the population do as the government says. They've been brought up to believe and trust the government and not to question it. It's easier in society where there is a trust in the government and less rights. Despite the incompetence shown by our government and others, I'd be very wary in congratulating China and how they dealt with this. Their numbers aren't to be believed either.

This has been a PR win for them though.

It's a shame that Taiwan aren't in WHO as they started dealing with this in December, before China even admitted to it.
