How will the FFP rules stand now with clubs set to lose out on prize and sponsorship money and contracts to be paid/money owed

Why are clubs set to lose out on prize and spons money?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

UEFA said: ‘The principle is already foreseen in the Champions League and Financial Fair Play regulations.

‘According to this principle, any extraordinary event or circumstances beyond the control of the club that are considered as a case of force majeure, is taken into account as part of the clubs’ assessment on a case-by-case basis.

’Financial Fair Play rules allow clubs to lose only £27million over three seasons and then only if underwritten by an owner. But due to the suspension of football across Europe, many clubs may now be short of TV money or sponsorship bonuses, which would make it impossible to comply.

How will the PL and EFL also help clubs out.

I have an interest in this, being a Wednesday fan.
Before the pandemic the EFL were investigating my club with regard to FFP/Profit and Sustainability. The owner, former CEO and one other have been cleared of the charges brought by the EFL, but the club charges are still pending. I'm wondering what will happen. Don't really care though, whatever they decide, I will still be watching (hopefully) whatever their decision is and whatever league we are in.

But only if the season is cancelled in some way.

Really?

Why are players taking pay cuts/wage deferments with this not even decided?

How does that work for this season, isn’t the FFP covering some strange deals regarding gun sale of ground?

I have no idea of the inner machinations of the club or the EFL

If we've done something wrong I expect there to be repercussions.

Well word on the street is it’s a possible points deduction.

Yes, I heard that. Will be complicated if the season isn't completed though.

I don’t expect any more football for the 19/20 season.
