His mistake was posting it on social media but I think he had good intentions at heart - delivering essential supplies to an elderly couple who needed it. Social distancing is very important but at times like these we need to remember that having no essential supplies can also be a danger to someone elderly

I don’t think many people will buy the excuse that he was ‘delivering essential supplies to an elderly couple’

That’s even more of an insult, to try and fob people off with that lame excuse

Understand Neil Kinnock is 78. And whilst visit was probably ill judged, not that far fetched he was *also* delivering a few groceries.

Don’t try and use that as an excuse, travelling all that way - you mean there was no else - absolutely no once else who was living locally that could have delivered groceries to such a vulnerable couple

I didn't try "to excuse his actions" as I referred to them as " ill judged."

Whilst you are of course in no way biased against the Labour Party and it's members, and would naturally have a balanced view

I’ve delivered food to my mother in her 70’s twice now so she doesn’t have to leave the house. I’d prefer I do it,!as I’m pretty sure I don’t have C-19, rather than a neighbour of hers I have no such assurance over. We’re never within 2m, probably not 3m.

Now some may consider me irresponsible, personally I think I’m doing my best to protect my mother. And what I’ve done twice isn’t vastly different to this story. If you believe the delivery part that is.

Yeah, me too. I've been delivering groceries to my parents (both over 70) about once a week.

I’m no fan of Kinnock, I think the man is an arrogant pr!ck but I’m not about to get myself riled up over it when it may be perfectly reasonable.
