Is anyone actually missing Spurs ?

I'm not...... Had covid come along a couple of years ago, the lack of footy would have driven me mental BUT..... Given where Levy has left us.... I haven't missed football for a second. Other than the odd Liverpool/ city game. The quality of the prem this year has been pi55 poor and Spurs have been unwatchable for almost 18 months

Its all come as quite a nice relief (not the virus) but the lack of everything about Spurs pi55ing me off.

Don't really care if they never finish this season. Just hand Liverpool the title, current op 5 (minus City) qualify for the CL. Have no relegation and start next season on time with an expanded prem including Leeds & West Brom and relegate 5. Lets get over this virus, just except its one of those things and move on. Liverpool don't need to play out the final few games to prove they deserve the league

Waiting for Sandy to put up a highlights of the season thread, or did I miss it ?

No club will have a highlights of the season, doubt the season will finish.

Why aren't those clubs playing a continued season but they are a new one? How does that work?

The point is instead of a new season (whenever that is) you actually just finish the current one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What you mean? If a club goes under it wont be playing any season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think any club would - players will not get paid before that happens and games will eventually continue. If its long term then it will impact new season anyway
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thats not the opinion of club chairmen, who are predicting anything from 3 months to 6 months as being crisis point for their clubs.

The last couple of months under Mourinho are as bad as I have ever seen us play. Even when we were bumbling around lower midtable in the early noughties I've never seen us play with such little ambition.

I'm looking forward to normal life coming back, but spurs will be just as awful to watch when football returns
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Kane, Son and Sissoko will be back, so it will be completely different. Any team missing at least two of their very best players would be in the same boat. I don`t get why supporters just don`t get that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
probably because you weren't playing well with them anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Were 5th in the table, still in both the FA Cup and CL, so what part if that was not doing well?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
exactly my point. you were no higher with kane, son and sissoko. and you're 8th by the way.

Paul Scally, Gillingham owner:
"I think we can probably last two or three months.

'After that the cash we do have will run out and I don't have any solution past two or three months.

‘We’re a family of football, the football pyramid is very important to everyone.

‘Clearly League One and League Two are different to Premier League clubs and even Championship clubs.

‘We don’t have any clubs with wealthy belly factors in League One and League Two, we live from hand to mouth every week.

‘The impact financially if this goes on for a month or so will be significant."

And here we are talking about minimum 9 months.

I said Spurs were 5th in the table with Kane, Son and Sissoko playing, and still in two cups now they are not playing, they are eighth and out of all cups. Season won't finish anyway, so is all pretty irrelevant.

"wealthy belly factors"

Think I'm one of the few who want to void the season. Or end it early to hopefully allow next season to work as normal.

My reasoning is the same as why I don't want VAR. Because football is universal and should be the same everywhere. I coach an under 7s team and iv already been told our season has ended. Our presentation might cancelled. One of my mates boys, plays for the same club at under 10s and his final that he reached has been cancelled. Instead, both teams get a "finalist" trophy.

My boy, who plays in the team I coach, actually cried when I told him the season has ended. But we understand why.

Why should professional football be different to grass roots? It's the same sport with the same emotions. I'd argue that the emotion in grass roots football is just as high.

If grass roots football has been cancelled then the same must be done across all football in this country. No excuses whatsoever.

No, you want to void the season because Spurs have been $hit.

Agree mate, just need to call it a day, and start afresh when it is all over. Nonsensical really to restart the current season, with probably a six or seven month gap in between. So much will have changed.
