Real madrid keen on Auba

Kills me to say this but I feel Auba is nailed on to leave this summer if we do not make top 4.

Feeling more so, after watching his quick chat on his instagram yesterday.

So I was keen to get everyones opinions on what would ease the pain of his departure to Madrid, which looks most likely.

Player plus cash (Jovic?+cash)
Two players (Jovic +other player) very unlikely
Cash only

Jovic plus cash looks most likely me

I doubt that. Looks most likely we’ll extend Ighalo’s loan, or sign him permanently. He won’t command the fee and wages Auba would and we’re fully invested in throwing everything at Sancho rather than a 31 year old starting striker.

I think Auba promised his dad he would play for RM one day, so if they come in for him I expect him to want to go.

Can’t blame him too much if he does want to leave for Madrid if they came in for him, it’d be his last big move. If we get what we paid or any more That wouldn’t be a terrible thing for us. Yes he’s a top player and very important to us, but with his age, it wouldnt be too long until we had to replace him anyway. So if we can do it with maximum amount of money from him now, instead of him leaving free or for vastly reduced amount when he’s older, then it wouldn’t be the worse thing if we buy well

Can't see Madrid going for him tbh

Barca might though, they've been doing some really wacky business last few years

It would buy them a couple of years inbetween Suarez and the Next Big Thing they will inevitably buy.

Barca are in deep doo-doo as most of La Liga is. They are not owned by rich ppl to cover losses. So lack of match day revenue really hurts. I expect them to be selling more than buying anyone.

That's a fair point. There's a good chance that, after all these, we will see a market crash in terms of player prices. Would probably suit us quite nicely, all things considered.

Barca are after Lautaro from Inter. But they’re gonna need to sell with their wage bill and the high value assets on the books that need shifting.

And if they can't, I can see them trying thirty for Auba.
