Morning all,
Hope everyone is well.
Did anyone listen to Lennon on Five Live last night?
Main point from it was that he said Celtic would probably look at wage cuts across the board after April if the situation doesn't get any better.
I'm not surprised as despite how well we are run, most businesses will follow that path after 2 months of no income whatsoever.
Barcelona players have agreed a 70% wage cut so non-playing staff will receive their full salary.
Juventus players and coaching staff have deferred their wages for 4 months.
I'd prefer it to be a deferred wage, rather than a wage cut as we will make obscene amounts when the season gets going again as well as the merchandise from Addidas that will fly off the shelves.
It'll be interesting to see how football in general pans out over the next 4 weeks, lots of leagues are only suspended until end of April.
We shall have to wait and see

Data says we made 79m extra shopping trips in March. Unintended consequencesProbably the riskiest environment most of us encounter too.
Contactless limit to increase to £45.

And £1.9bn more foodstuffs in cupboards.
Hope they are physically sick of pasta and tinned tomatoes after this

It was dropping and I think those numbers are just England and Wales.
There are a couple of bad years where flu was the cause of death of up to 28,000 during 14-15 I think.

First, that the cost of the economic bailout Rishi Sunack has proposed is too high. Spending that kind of money to extend the lives of a few hundred thousand mostly elderly people with underlying health problems by one or two years is a mistake.
Toby Young just tweeted that haha

I'n Heed here but somehow I completely missed the suspension of recycling, garden food collections and the waste centres. Trying not to watch news any more. More ridiculous council pash. At the very time households are generating more waste. No distinction between households of 1 or 8. Just how many 'waste operatives' are off 'sick'? This does not pass the sanity check. They are 100% at it. What about all the guys freed up from collecting business waste?
How do I know? Well, our bin men moonlighting as gardeners showed up today and told me! WTF is he doing gardening when he could be getting o/t for the council and keeping services going? No money, mate.
The only good news is he said just gimme a call and I'll huckle round with the lorry any time you want the bins lifted.
