Lockdown alcoholism

so apparently online sales of alcohol are up 243%, shop sales up over 55% and numerous wine merchants having to suspend sales due to surge in demand.

850,000 extra jobless claims (900% increase) last week

we'll survive the virus but all be raging alcoholics with cirrhosis and other liver diseases who are jobless

hope the Dole & NHS are ready for that burden too!

OP

Is about UK hitting the bottle.

Not personalties here.

Sorry, am just really hungover and opening a can and don't want to read more personal abuse.

Think the brits living in the UK are moaning about fack all, a nation that loves being indoors except for the 20 sunny days each year so boredom shouldn't be an issue.

Ja606 boomers last week: ‘All these British idiots rushing off to national parks and the beach when Boris wants them to stay indoors’

*Boris enforces stricter measures for people to stay indoors*

Ja606 boomers now: ‘All these British idiots moaning about staying indoors when that’s all they ever do’

I feel I am drinking more frequently in lockdown but not as much in total.

I could go out and consume 10-15 drinks on a night out. Wouldn’t have near that many in a week at home.

Us Brits are a hardy bunch, you only have to look at the Glastonbury Festival, no matter what the weather we still go.

When life throws you a rainy day,
Play in the puddles, is our motto.

He really doesn’t. We’re known as being a nation of gardeners. Hard to garden indoors.

No, as usual Cinci just wants to boast (yet again) about how he gotta out’ of the UK. Shame for him that it was to the US, but there you go.

One thing to come out of this situation, really finding out how many JA users are currently living outside of the UK. 😴

Toilet roll sales are up a silly % as are the sales of rice, pasta, flour and who knows what else.

It doesn't actually mean people are shiitttting far more often, or consuming monstrous amounts of flour. Just that a bunch of caaaants are panic buying and hoarding more than they can currently consume
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We buy a lot more because we have the kids at home and we eat at home all of us now. Normally kids eat and shiiit in day care and we buy lunch and shiiit at work.
