Prem League suspended indefinitely

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52148955

And players asked to take 30% cut.

Can't see any football in England before what would have been start of next season.

The current season WILL finish at some point and of course they’ve suspended it further. No one can out a timeframe on it, but we will see it out one way or another.

When contracts and sponsorship deals expire, what do players and clubs do regards new deals and sons or ship.

Continue in this seasons kits/advertising hoardings?

Why did the FA void the non-League? Seems idiotic to do so if the other leagues will commence. They should have waited.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, a remarkably stupid decision that. Just no need to make any decisions this early, absolutely nothing is gained by doing so.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not really, a sensible decision to cancel non league football amid the delayed social distancing measures/lockdown in the U.K.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What is sensible about it? All they have done is deprive themselves of a dozen games that they can now no longer ever play or make money from. Some clubs will have new sponsorship deals in place for the new season so will now have to pay off deals that they never completed for this season as one example of it making no sense to call the season so early.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s just a way for the general public and LiverpoolTV clappers to see what’s coming, slowly up the football pyramid.

Plus, with the shambles we have here in delayed lockdown etc it will be a long time before it’s safe.

The Bundesliga is planning on restarting the first or second Weekend in May, listening to the Government and Health Authorities, if they say ok than their season will restart!..

And it will run through June, so contracts will have to be sorted one way or the other as they come!..

The situation in Germany is completely different to UK, there is a much higher level of testing going on there.

Apparently the lockdown and social distancing could be relaxed somewhat here within weeks, according to a top scientist and government adviser.

The UK is behind Germany. If they are able to start in May, the UK could possibly be two months behind that.
