Reverse the decision

I honestly think Levy and CO should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of the government furlough scheme and using it to pay our non playing staff. Utterly disgraceful, but what else would you expect from our little bald weasel of a chairman? I mean, I’m half Jewish, but he pretty much exposes all those stereotypes of Jews being tight, but there’s a difference between being an a** in the transfer market and taking advantage of a government scheme that’s not meant for multi billion pound enterprises or football clubs. He’s using a scheme that could be used for other people that need it. Tottenham Hotspur don’t need it, our chairman just doesn’t want to fork out the clubs money the c**, despite profits of over 65 mil. Liverpool did the right thing by reversing it and listening to the fans. Will our chairman do the same ? Liverpool Spurs

Thing is Newcastle kinda get a bye simply because their fans despite their chairman and want him out, and have made their feelings known.
Spur's are more succeful and more profitable and that's why this is an absolute PR disaster.
Spurs are the most embarrassing club in the PL right now, with record profits, and any fan backing this decision should be ashamed to call themselves a fan of football.
Ample time to reverse it. 0 morals. How much was Levys bonus?!?
I never thought Spurs would drop the Mike Ashley levels but Levy has managed to exceed it. The fact 99% of spurs fans seem to be appalled is the only thing keeping my faith in the club.
Surely this has to be the straw that broke the camels back and shows Levy is toxic for the club?
Record profits coincide with Spurs massive drop off in performance....no coincidence at all 😣
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Record profits in the 2018/19 season, followed by a summer/Jan spending of £150m

Also a bonus paid to Levy in the 2018/19 season, on delivery of the stadium

These figures have been reported now as the club has just published financial results but they are historic.

I do not agree with Spurs furloughing of some staff. Personally i think the players should be covering the wages of the non-playing staff by either taking a cut (although = loss of some tax revenue). This does not reflect well on Levy.

But by the same token, SPurs are reportedly saving about £250k a week in doing what they have done - the same fans up in arms about this will also be slating him for not paying decent wages to secure our transfer targets

Sandy, not just Ja606 supporters want Levy out. A massive fan base are fed up of him. Spurs fans will turn on him if he carries on with his antics.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They may not be happy Don, but they will not stop them going. Very few supporters ever stop going to football, because they don`t like their chairman.

This doesn't make sense at all tbh.
Plastics keep turning up, it's the real supporters with passion that take offence and demonstrate. The back bone of the support are the ones that take the club's position as a personal stain, and care enough to do something. Real passion is standing up for what u believe in and what right.
I'd argue the ones that keep going arent real fans. It's a sport not an enterprise. Football has some morals, even if they are dying by the day.
If fickle fans accept this and continue going then it just fuels the fire. Also, nearly all of the most important demonstrations have been from real fans, and take place in and out of the stadium. Suggesting real fans keep going doesn't ring true in my opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nonsense. Football supporters will turn up come what may. Most will not be the slightest interested in balance sheets, and what a chairman gets up to. They are only interested in watching the team.

You would argue that the fans that keep going are not real fans.

Honestly where did that nonsense come from?

Yup, some fans making far too much of this. I have moved on. Could have handled it better, but no real harm done. Staff are still getting paid whether by the club or the tax payer, it doesn`t really matter.

My point is the real fans are the ones with passion that are the first to demonstrate and walk out, as and when necessary.
Sure fans will go to Tottenham irrespective but that's the mentality that turned old Trafford into the prawn sandwich brigade.

And them fans are the ones that stand up to be counted and fight for what's right, especially if a chairman or owners actions are immoral and a stain on their clubs reputation.
Look at Newcastle. They demonstrate in large numbers.
If spurs want to turn their hardcore players against the owners/levy then they will just end up with a bunch of soulless tourists.
Real fans don't just turn up when u have fancy new plastic seats, they are there thick n thin. Good times and bad.
I can promise you if Jose keeps up with this football and levy keeps this current image of being a scrooge and not spending, all spurs will have is the plastics. When results drop they are the first to stop going.
It's so crazy how levy doesn't understand the value of a good reputation and moral values 😅

Very few fans walk out and demonstrate. Newcastle fans may demonstrate in large numbers, but they still go to games in large numbers as well. If they were that unhappy, their crowds would be down to 15,000.

Anyone got any stats to support or not this statement?
How does a team's league position affect its attendance figures?
What would happen if Spurs got relegated?
Anyone got a clue?
Or is Sandy just pissing in the wind?

I'm just amazed that a business man as sharp as levy has no idea of the financial effect of bad PR.
It will be higher than the saving I'm sure.

Absolutely disgraceful Tottenham hierarchy still refusing to backtrack over their decision to furlough staff, leaving us taxpayers to bear the cost.
No excuse. No justification. Unbelievable.

Lately Levy has decided that Tottenham are interested in Upamecano, the French U21 CB at RBLeipzig.
Anyone who's seen him play .... that's a no brainer!
Especially since we'll be losing Vertonghen and Alderweireld.
But he's way toooooo late .... Real Madrid have now come knocking on RBLeipzig's door.... they know a good player when they see one!
Chances Levy will pay ..... ? .....
