We have a of the year competition, but times like this need more positivity. So lets think about who is the greatest character on the site. Some people have become known across boards for their witty banter, their thought provoking articles or their comment generating persistance.
Being a day 1'er, I have seen a lot of people come and a lot go, so have taken it upon myself to choose the finalists as I cannot be bothered to do a full competition.
5 ANFIELD RAP - A Salisbury dwelling, bowls playing, Liverpool fan. Is not shy of doing a WUM, but it is usually good humoured and RAP isn't afraid of laughing at himself. Currently taking a break from JA. Will that harm his chances?
4 WINSTON - Admins dream, a comment generating machine. If you have a few days spare, get into semantics of an argument with Winston . Another one who seems to be on a break.
3 SANDY - The filter machine, who unfortunately won't see this. An OAP who forgets what he says and has spent the last few years arguing with himself. Won't let any mention of the PL go without stating that football was around before 92.
2 BRAVEHEART TYKE - The Desmond from Lost of the site, has spent 10 years spamming a thread 24/7 with just a rare foray into general population.
1 WAHL - Used to be king of making lists with ridiculous suggestions, now he is a one man Mourinho fan club. His articles can generate debate and discussion.

Jinky/jungle wasn’t a wum
He was a guy who got caught up in a lie and chose a brilliantly mental way out of it
There was anger from some at the time(perhaps underdstandably) bug he just couldn’t find a way out
On reflection it gave us the best day I’ve had in here
Vividly remember sitting crying with laughter in my local pub as the thread unfolded trying to explain it to guys in pub was impossible

I read the Reddit thread about it and there was one guy who posted a similar story from his boxing forum about a girl who knew her stuff. She had posted a photo of herself and a load of the guys were sceptical. So she posted a few more photos, holding up her username on a piece of paper and date etc. The guys were then convinced and some liking her, had phone calls etc with her. Finally one guy went on a date with her and after stated it was very strange and she didn't know anything about boxing. The girl subsequently said the guy was a weirdo who stalked her, hassled her etc. The guy was marginalised by members of the forum and banned, due to this.
I think that guy teamed up with another member to unravel the truth, which they did by finding her Facebook page. Turns out the girl was a 50 year old, who had used her niece's photos and forced her to go on the date.

Heroes? There have been many regular posters who have used this site to post intelligent and informative articles, the purpose it was designed for. Unfortunately there have been just as many idiots who try to spoil the site with immature or offensive comments. I will just keep deleting moronic comments and enjoy those from the well-mannered regulars who can accept a different opinion from their own.
