I like what I've seen of Germany. Berlin is an amazing city. I put off going there for years, for some reason, even though everyone told me it was fantastic and that I'd love it. They were right: it was fantastic, and I loved it

I will move to Goa once all this is over. Won't need a holiday after that.

Europe is absolutely magic really.

People have different interests and want different things, and, of course, those things change through people’s lives.

But I’d be quite happy limiting my holidays to Europe and North Africa from here on in. The only European countries I wouldn’t bother with again barring the microstates are probably the Benelux states, Denmark, a couple in the Balkans and a couple of ex-Soviet states.

France, Portugal, Italy, Germany, the rest of Scandinavia, Romania and Greece, in particular, have an absolute wealth of places to visit and things to see.

Like Rosso above, I wouldn't be heartbroken if I had to stay in Europe for holidays and trips forever. I've done a lot of the "city breaks" - Prague, Rome, Florence, Venice, Budapest, Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna, Madrid and more - but there's so much that I haven't seen. I'd like to spend some time in Brittany and Normandy, for example, or the former Yugoslavia, especially Bosnia.

To answer the OP, ideal holiday destinations for me right now:
In Europe: Berlin
Outside Europe: Probably Rio de Janeiro

And Cape Town is mint - highly recommend it to anyone who's never been.
