Restarting the season, is it feasible?

Just looking at the possibility of restarting the season before September and if that expectation is reasonable.

This is what we know:
1. For people between the ages of 20-40 the mortality rate is 0.2 or 0.3%.
2. The disease can also cause long term respiratory issues, effectively ending the career of an athlete at the highest level.
3. It is extremely contagious.
4. In football there are no social distancing measures
5. The testing kits are not reliable and often produce false negatives
6. There is no real effective treatment or vaccine for the disease

In a practical example:
If they restarted the premier league, 500 players would come back to playing football again under no social distancing measures. This implies a squad of 25 for each team multiplied by 20 teams.

Given that the mortality ratio is 0.2% or 0.3% (for people between 20-40), one player would statistically die. This does not take into account the amount of players that will suffer long term lung damage that may end their careers.

With all of this in mind, can you see them really bringing back the premier league or any football before September?

When you consider that bringing back football would likely lead to the death of a premier league football player (not including staff and managers), is it really feasible to bring football back before a vaccine or treatment? I think that a genuine treatment or vaccine would need to be found before we can really consider coming back.

Like families in Liverpool have Everton and Liverpool in the same house and even in Manchester they have similar”

Yep and they choose 1 team ffs. You don’t see a genuine football fan say “ I support both Everton and Liverpool “ or a Manc say “ I support both City and United “, they choose 1 team you buffoon. No normal football fan supports a different club on a different day of the week like you do ffs, it’s ridiculous

I'm amazed administration let me post on any boards 😅
Have you sent an email to FIFA? 😅
The fact you hate me loving spurs is so childish it's amazing. And they say there is no love in the game anymore 😘

You are honestly getting it completely wrong in your assessment here dude so please don’t give up you’re day job. Nowhere have I said “ no supporter should support spurs if it’s not in your blood “, I just mentioned the blood thing as my own personal reason. My issue is someone supports both Liverpool and Spurs, not to mention Crawley town, so theoretically he supports 3 clubs. Maybe in you’re world that’s the norm, but football fans who are genuine fans of a football club don’t support 3 g**** teams, it’s ridiculous

If the blood thing was just your own personal reasons then you would have said "in my blood" rather than "in your blood". Also supporting a team because your family supports them doesn't mean it is in your blood. It means you decided to support the same team as your family. Nothing wrong with that but stop pretending it is some sort of divine destiny.

Given that you have had to resort to posting numerous comments one after the other, this appears to have you very worked up. So why are you so upset thay someone enjoys football in a different way from you? The only connection he has to you is that one of his chosen teams is your chosen team, and because it is different to what you want, you have to do the real fan superiority stuff.

So you think if someone said I support both Real Madrid and Barcelona, that is right to you as a football fan? Barcelona and Real Madrid fans would laugh in you’re face

He’s a neutral football supporter which I have no issue with. What I have an issue with is a “Spurs supporter “ claiming they support Spurs, yet also supports Liverpool, but also openly admitted to supporting Crawley and would cheer Crawley if they played Spurs. That’s not a Spurs supporter, that’s a neutral fan. End of story.

No, that is not what you want a spurs supporter to be. You don't get to dictate who other people are allowed to be supporters of. You still have yet to explain why you are so worked up that he has decided to be a spurs fan.

If someone wants to support both Real and Barvelona then I wouldn't be particularly bothered. Up to them. It would be a refreshing change to people fighting and hating others purely due to following a different football team.

I’m not worked up at all he chose Spurs. I just don’t think he’s a proper Spurs supporter if he’s also passionate about Liverpool and would cheer Crawley to beat Spurs. Sorry, in you’re world that might be a Spurs supporter, but in every other supporters view, that isn’t a Spurs fan. He’s a neutral football fan. I’m pretty sure if you asked any supporter of any club, 99% would say the same thing as I have. You are just a very small minority that agrees with him.

It’s not what I want a Spurs supporter to be, it’s just the way it is. Football fans who follow a club passionately follow 1 club and possibly they might casually support their local team, but a typical football fan who really has a passion for a club, doesn’t support 3 clubs. He’s a neutral football supporter that likes to follow 3 clubs ( Liverpool , Spurs and Crawley ) absolutely no issue with that.

Hence he is a supporter of those 3 clubs over the remaining countless clubs in the world.
